Kanye West New Album Title And Release Date Released?

Last week we told you about the planned release of the new Kanye West album and that it is to be released this year.

Well, now it looks like we have a release date and title:

Several websites have claimed that the album will be titled “808’s & Heartbreak” and will be released on December 16th, 2008. Kanye West performed the first single from the album, titled “Love Lockdown”, at the MTV VMA’s and he also recently performed a song called “Heartless” at a show which is also believed to be on the album. Both songs are devoid of rap lyrics and have Kanye singing and using autotune. It is believed that this will be the main theme of the album and that the main influence of the album is his mothers death and recent split from his fiancee.

Remember, these are just early reports and are subject to change.

My personal views and feelings are that I hope Kanye doesn’t use singing and autotuning as the main theme for this album. That autotune effect is getting old and Kanye has brought out 3 amazing rap albums. And we know he likes to try new things which we all appreciate, but please Kanye, keep it hip hop.
