White Rappers

Ever since Eminem’s *Jigga retirement, everyone has been asking me what I think about the lack of white rappers in the music industry. My response every time is that it’s not the lack of white rappers, it’s your lack of motivation to go find them. Some of the very best underground rappers are white, here’s some examples…

Vinnie Paz aka Ikon The Verbal hologram aka Louie Doggs aka The Pazmanian Devil aka Vin Laden aka Frank Vinatra aka Metal Mouth

Vinnie Paz is the backbone of both the hip hop group Jedi Mind Tricks and founder of the underground rap supergroup, Army Of The Pharaohs. Vinnie is known for his tough and gritty rhymes and also for his “accent” caused by the metal plates in his mouth.  This guy is no Kool G Rap but as far as underground rappers go, he is one of the best.

Slug aka Seven aka Se7en aka Sep Seven

Slug is best known as the emcee of the Minnesota-based hip hop  group Atmosphere. His lyrics are always very personal or filled with his beliefs and to that fact Slug has developed as a great storyteller. All race aside, Slug is a great emcee.

Aesop Rock

Aesop Rock is one of those underground rappers that is always around but you never hear about until hits like “None Shall Pass”. The truth is that Aesop is an above average and intelligent lyricist.
